For optimal aeration and moisture retention, we recommend using a 50/50 mix of perlite with either coco coir or a high-quality potting soil. Avoid using dense soil on its own, as it can compact and reduce oxygen to the roots.

Is this system difficult to set up?+

Not at all. The system is designed for simple, intuitive assembly. Just connect the pipes, place the AQUAvalve in each tray, fill the reservoir, and you're ready to grow. The included product manual provides clear, step-by-step instructions.

How does the AQUAvalve work without electricity?+

The patented AQUAvalve uses a simple float system powered by gravity. It opens to allow water into the tray and automatically closes once the optimal level is reached. It will not open again until the plants have absorbed all the water, ensuring a perfect wet-dry cycle that roots love.

Can I use any type of liquid nutrient?+

Yes, both mineral-based and organic liquid nutrients are compatible. To ensure long-term, trouble-free operation, we recommend using nutrients that are fully soluble to prevent any potential blockages in the 6mm pipework.
