Who This Is For

  • You are upgrading your dehumidification because your current setup is inefficient and spikes your monthly power bill.
  • You are moving equipment to the ceiling because floor space is at a premium and you need to maximize your canopy.

What We Found

  • The 20 percent size reduction is huge for overhead mounting since it actually fits between standard joists now.
  • We noticed the MERV 13 filter keeps the coils significantly cleaner than the basic mesh found on cheaper models.
  • We recommend this over the 100 pint model for mid-sized rooms because the efficiency rating is hard to beat.

What Users Say

  • Growers who hung these overhead say they reclaimed floor space and improved air circulation across the canopy.
  • Users who experienced power outages report the auto-restart saved their crop from overnight humidity spikes.

Quest 155 High Efficiency Dehumidifier

Excessive humidity destroys crops, creates mold problems, and drives up energy costs by thousands of dollars annually. The Quest 155 High Efficiency Dehumidifier solves this with an industry-leading 8.5 pints/kWh efficiency rating while removing 155 pints of moisture daily; for smaller grow rooms, the Quest 100 Dehumidifier offers a more compact footprint with the same high-efficiency engineering.

This redesigned Quest 155 is 20% more compact than its predecessor, the Quest Dual 155, while maintaining superior performance through patented M-CoRR Technology. The unit plugs into any standard 120V outlet and features integrated hang points for overhead installation. While it includes digital onboard controls with self-diagnostics, it is also fully compatible with the Quest DEH 3000R Climate Controller for growers requiring precise remote monitoring and management.

Engineered and assembled in Madison, Wisconsin, the Quest 155 meets California Title 24 requirements for both ducted and non-ducted installations. Each unit includes MERV 13 filtration to remove dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and viruses from your grow environment. The 500 CFM airflow capacity handles spaces up to 56°F minimum and 95°F maximum operating temperatures.

Industry-Leading Efficiency

Patented M-CoRR Technology delivers 8.5 pints/kWh at 80°F/60% RH, saving thousands in annual energy costs compared to competitors.

🔌
Plug & Play Installation

Standard 120V outlet compatibility with integrated hang points for overhead mounting eliminates the need for special electrical or installation kits.

🎯
Digital Control Interface

Onboard digital controls with self-diagnostics and auto-restart functionality ensure precise humidity management and uninterrupted operation after power outages.

🌬️
Superior Air Filtration

MERV 13 filter removes harmful contaminants including dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and viruses with 500 CFM airflow capacity.

🔧

FAQ

Can I install the Quest 155 overhead or does it need to sit on the floor?+

The Quest 155 offers flexible installation options for both overhead and freestanding placement. If you require a high-performance mobile solution instead, the Quest Hi-E Dry 195 Portable Dehumidifier provides a dedicated wheeled alternative. For the 155, the unit features integrated hang points for overhead mounting, while its compact footprint allows it to sit securely on floors or shelving without interfering with your operations.

What kind of electrical outlet does this dehumidifier require?+

The Quest 155 plugs into any standard 120V household or commercial outlet (NEMA 5-15P). It operates on 110-120 VAC, 1 Phase, 60 Hz power and draws 6.9 amps at 80°F/60% RH conditions. The included 9-foot power cord provides extended reach for flexible placement, eliminating the need for special electrical installation or dedicated circuits.

How much energy does the Quest 155 save compared to other dehumidifiers?+

The Quest 155's patented M-CoRR Technology achieves 8.5 pints/kWh efficiency at 80°F/60% RH, which is significantly higher than competing commercial dehumidifiers. For larger environments that need to scale up while maintaining this efficiency, the Quest 225 High-Efficiency Dehumidifier offers a higher capacity step-up. This superior engineering can save you thousands of dollars per year in utility costs per unit.

How often do I need to change the air filter?+

Filter replacement frequency depends on your environment's dust and particulate levels. The Quest 155 uses an 18" x 18" x 2" MERV 13 filter that provides superior filtration of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and viruses. Most commercial grow operations should inspect the filter monthly and replace it when visibly dirty or when airflow appears restricted. The removable access panel makes filter changes quick and easy.

What happens if the power goes out while the dehumidifier is running?+

The Quest 155 features auto-restart functionality that automatically returns the unit to its previous settings when power is restored after an outage. This ensures your humidity control continues uninterrupted without requiring manual intervention. The digital control system remembers your humidity setpoints and operational preferences, providing seamless protection for your facility even during temporary power disruptions.

Is this dehumidifier legal to use in California?+

Yes, the Quest 155 meets California Title 24 requirements for both ducted whole-home installations and non-ducted portable installations. For industrial facilities with even larger square footage, the Quest 506 Dehumidifier also meets rigorous efficiency standards while providing massive water removal capacity. The 155 is UL rated and ETL listed, meeting the highest safety and efficiency standards for use throughout North America.

How do I drain the water collected by the dehumidifier?+

The Quest 155 features a 3/4" threaded NPT drain port connection for continuous drainage. You'll need to connect a drain hose to this port and route it to a floor drain, sump, or collection container. The drain port's P-trap requirements include a 6.75" vertical drop with a 4" vent opening and 2" water depth in the trap to ensure proper drainage and prevent airflow issues.

Can I service this unit myself or do I need to hire a technician?+

The Quest 155 is designed for easy maintenance with a removable access panel that allows service even when the unit is mounted overhead. Basic maintenance like filter changes and drain line inspections can be performed by facility staff using the included user manual. For refrigerant service or internal component repairs, you should contact a qualified HVAC technician. The digital control interface includes self-diagnostics to help identify issues quickly.
