Who This Is For

  • You are adding under-canopy lighting because your lower bud sites stay small and airy under top-down fixtures.
  • You are choosing the XR spectrum because your current HPS overhead setup leaves the lower leaves light-starved.

What We Found

  • The 150-degree beam angle is remarkably wide, so you do not need to pack fixtures together to get even coverage.
  • Combining power and dimming into one Quad-Lock plug makes the under-canopy floor much easier to keep clean.
  • The adjustable stands are much sturdier than they look and stay planted even when you are moving around the rows.

What Users Say

  • Facilities that added these noticed the lower flowers filled out with the same density as the top-shelf material.
  • Users say the daisy-chain dimming saved them from running a dozen separate power cables across the grow room floor.
  • Operators who switched to the XR spectrum under HPS tops found the overall crop development became more uniform.

Aelius 120W Under Canopy LED Grow Light - XR or REDD Spectrum | 2 Pack

Overhead fixtures alone can't reach the lower canopy — the Aelius 120W Under Canopy LED is built to fill that gap. Each fixture delivers 360 µmol/s of photon flux at up to 3.32 µmol/J efficacy, through a 150° wide beam angle specifically engineered for even light distribution beneath the canopy where side and lower bud sites are typically light-starved. Available in REDD or XR Spectrum, sold in pairs with a combined coverage of 48" × 48", the 120W Under Canopy integrates directly into existing LED grow lighting setups to drive yield without consuming any overhead space.

Setup is fast and tool-free. Each unit ships with an aluminum stand that adjusts up to 13.02" off the ground for precise light positioning between rows. The built-in DeepLock™ Quad-Lock System handles both power and dimming connections in a single connection point, and 0-10V daisy-chainable RJ-12 dimming allows multiple fixtures to run off one controller. Whether you're supplementing under a REDD or HPS top light, the 120W Under Canopy LED ensures every leaf in your canopy gets its share of light.

Features

🌿
150° Wide Beam Angle

An extra-wide 150° beam provides even light distribution beneath the canopy — reaching side bud sites and lower growth that overhead fixtures can't effectively penetrate.

🌈
Two Spectrum Options

Choose the REDD Spectrum for flowering and greenhouse cultivation, or the XR Spectrum — purpose-built to balance environments running REDD or HPS top lighting for uniform whole-canopy growth.

Up to 3.32 µmol/J Efficacy

Delivers 360 µmol/s per fixture at 120W — efficient, targeted under-canopy output with no wasted energy on areas already covered by your primary top lighting.

🔒
DeepLock™ Quad-Lock System

The integrated DeepLock™ Quad-Lock System consolidates both power and dimming control into a single connection point, simplifying installation and reducing cable clutter between fixtures.

📏
Adjustable Aluminum Stand

Each fixture includes an aluminum stand that elevates up to 13.02" off the ground, allowing precise height adjustment between canopy rows without additional mounting hardware.

🔗
Daisy-Chain Dimming

0-10V RJ-12 daisy-chainable dimming lets you link and control multiple fixtures from a single controller — built for scalable under-canopy lighting across large commercial rows.

What's Included

  • 2x LED Fixture
  • 4x Aluminum Stand

Per (1) power cord selection:

  • Power Cord: 240V with 120-240V adapter
  • RJ-12 Dimming cable + 1 end cap

The Spectrums

REDD Spectrum

Purpose-built for flowering and greenhouse cultivation. The REDD Spectrum's blue and red-dominant output is calibrated to push flowering crops to their full genetic potential, providing the same high-performance spectrum found in the Aelius REDD 800 for under-canopy bud sites.

Aelius 120W Under Canopy REDD Spectrum Chart
XR Spectrum

Engineered for under-canopy use in rooms already running powerful fixtures like the Aelius Matrx 730F or HPS top lighting. The XR Spectrum balances your environment with complementary wavelengths, ensuring uniform growth from top to bottom of the canopy.

Warranty

The Aelius 120W Under Canopy LED is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions. Improper installation, operation, or servicing outside of manufacturer guidelines will void warranty coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which spectrum should I choose — REDD or XR? +

Choose the REDD Spectrum if you want targeted blue and red-dominant output under the canopy, similar to the spectrum profile of the Aelius 300 Bar LED, to push flowering performance from top to bottom of the plant. Choose the XR Spectrum if your room is already running REDD or HPS top lighting — XR provides complementary wavelengths that balance your overall light environment and promote more uniform growth across the full canopy rather than adding more of the same spectrum.

How does the DeepLock™ Quad-Lock System work? +

The DeepLock™ Quad-Lock System consolidates both power delivery and dimming control into a single connection point on the fixture. This eliminates the need for separate power and data cabling between units, making installation faster and reducing cable management requirements when running multiple fixtures across a row.

What coverage does a single box of two fixtures provide? +

Each fixture covers a 12" × 48" strip individually. When both fixtures in the box are positioned at 12" spacing, the combined footprint is 48" × 48" — wide enough to cover a full 4×4 ft canopy row. The 150° wide beam angle ensures even distribution across the full coverage area with no hotspots.

How high off the ground do the aluminum stands position the fixture? +

The included aluminum stands elevate the fixture up to 13.02" off the ground. This allows you to position the fixture at the ideal height between canopy rows without any additional mounting hardware or rigging, making repositioning between grows quick and straightforward.

How do I daisy-chain multiple 120W Under Canopy fixtures for dimming control? +

Connect a controller or dimmer to the first fixture's RJ-12 port. Run the included dimming cable from that fixture to the next and repeat until all units are linked. Place the included end cap on the final fixture's open RJ-12 port to seal the chain. Refer to your controller's specifications for the maximum number of fixtures supported per dimming channel.

Can the 120W Under Canopy LED be used as a primary top light? +

The 120W Under Canopy is specifically engineered for supplemental under-canopy use rather than primary top lighting. At 360 µmol/s per fixture, it's optimized to supplement existing top lights and reach light-starved lower and side bud sites — not to serve as a primary top light like the Matrx 650F.

How do I clean and maintain the 120W Under Canopy LED? +

Routinely remove dust and debris from the LED modules and heat sink using low-pressure compressed air or a gentle water rinse. Never pressure wash the fixture. Always power down and allow the unit to fully cool before performing any maintenance, and avoid touching individual LEDs with bare fingers to prevent electrostatic discharge damage.
